Position Title: Senior Lawyer
Salary: Grade 9 £38,052 to £41,846 (Bar at £40,858) per annum
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time
Hours: 35 per week

Manchester City Council's successful Children's & Families (Legal) Group will support you in the dynamic role of Senior Solicitor. You will conduct your own advocacy in public and private law matters including contested hearings. You will provide high-quality advice at client meetings. In addition to having the opportunity to concentrate on the pre-proceedings aspect of Public Law, you will hold a stimulating case load including advising our clients on various matters including deprivation of liberty, forced marriage and cases with an international element. You will also have the opportunity to expand your knowledge in this area including being involved in proceedings before Coroners court and delivering training.

You are an enthusiastic and dedicated lawyer with an extensive knowledge of the law relating to children and families. You are keen to further develop your legal skills in this area. You are a motivated lawyer with the ability to manage a complex case-load. You are interested in mentoring more junior staff. You want to be part of a hard-working team that is committed to improving outcomes for children.
