Position Title: Quantity Surveyor Level 2
Salary: Grade 8 £33,799 to £37,849 (Bar at £36,876) per annum
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time
Hours: 35 per week
Work Location: Bridgewater House, 60 Whitworth Street, Manchester, M1 6LT

This role will be working within our team dedicated to Projects, compromising of various road build, improvement and civil engineering.

You will have responsibility for commercial activities on a project, whether it being a single large project or a number of smaller schemes. Your focus is to minimise the cost of a project and enhance value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality.

You will hold a recognised professional construction related qualification with experience in a similar role in a large diverse organisation.

You will have a passion for your profession with an energy to continually seek improvements.

You will be managing and be responsible for the commercial element of allocated construction projects, taking responsibility for the end to end responsibility.

You will provide support to the Project Managers by ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and to the agreed standards.

You will ensure strong relationships are developed with clients and other stakeholders.

Technical Requirements (Role Specific):
  • Qualified with a BSc (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying. 
  • Demonstrable Quantity Surveying experience in Highway/Construction related projects. 
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or working towards membership (e.g MRICS) or holds full membership of a relevant professional body.
